Directed by Benjamin Mulinkosson, through PUSH Media, and edited by Leap Year Post’s Austen Deery, Avenue & Son's short film is set against the backdrop of last summer's six-day international skateboarding competition at Aranya Resort, in the northern Chinese city of Qinhuangdao.

Titled Grand Master Meltdown, the film goes beyond the tricks and contests, capturing skate culture as a way of exploring one's individuality, camaraderie and the shared joy of the ride. As one of the participants reflects, "this is more than just a sports competition. This is a true expression of the soul. A way to prove your existence – that your existence has meaning."
