New director Ben Weinstein has signed to Santa Monica-based Notorious 24:7 for commercial and music video representation. Weinstein has already completed two projects through Notorious - a music video for Moby's single Beautiful and a Sony PlayStation MLB 2006 ad for TBWAChiatDay. This is the first time Weinstein has been repped as a director.
Nonfiction Spots has signed director David McNamara to its roster. McNamara has shot spots for brands including Rolex, Firestone, and Old Spice/Red Zone. He joins Nonfiction Spots from The Film Company on April 15.
Gartner in Santa Monica has signed UK directors Shona Auerbach and Jim Weedon for US representation. The directors are both repped by The Bare Film Company in the UK.
Ric Peralta has been named chief executive officer at global creative agency Attik. Peralta, a longstanding member of Attik's board of directors, has also recently held senior executive positions with frog design and fuseproject. His new position at Attik is effective immediately and he will be based in San Francisco.
Clear in London has appointed Mick Vincent as head of telecine. Vincent's move signals the company's step to becoming a 'one-stop shop' offering a Spirit 4K Telecine department, scheduled to open in July. Vincent will join the company from VTR at that time.
