Kalle Haglund, a former member of Swedish directing team Stylewar, has signed to Blinkink, a part of Blink, for commercials representation.
Haglund started out as an art director for indie record label Burning Heart back in 1995 and joined motion graphics collective Stylewar in 2000. He split from the collective late last year.
As part of Stylewar he directed promos for the Kaiser Chiefs, The Rolling Stones and The Hives, winning two Grammys for work for the latter. Haglund is signed to Colonel Blimp for promos.
"I've long been a big fan of Stylewar's music videos, so I was very impressed to find he'd directed so many of those classic promos during his time there," Bart Yates, executive producer at Blinkink, said. "Kalle has a great ability for blending elements of design, animation and live action to create these wonderfully unique atmospheres, always with a great sense of humour."
