While William and Kate's - sorry, Catherine's - nuptials might not play out exactly like this, Saatchi & Saatchi London and Chris Palmer bring us an alternative take on the 'Wedding of the Year' with this comedic film which is itself a spoof of the YouTube sensation, JK Wedding Entrance Dance
Writing this on April 28, the day before the Big Day, it's fair to say that the wedding of Prince William and Kate, sorry, Catherine Middleton has reached a frenzied peak. Coverage of the event is everywhere and though by the time you read this it might all seem like a quaint memory (or if you're on the UK, just a bonus day off), the likenesses of the future King and Queen of England are currently everywhere. The most widely seen imitation, though, must surely have been through Saatchi & Saatchi London's fantastic online film for T-Mobile, which brilliantly spoofs a previous YouTube video [JK Wedding Entrance Dance] showcasing a fantasically choreographed wedding entrance and applies it to the Windsors.
The Wedding, a two-minute film directed by Gorgeous Enterprises' Chris Palmer, features royal lool-a-likes dancing, body-popping and sashaying down the aisle before Wills and Kate make their big entrance. Admittedly, some look-a-likes resemble their targets more than others (Camilla's a dead ringer), but the entire package makes for a brilliantly entertaining film and one which has been seen by millions of people. At the time of writing, it has nearly six million YouTube views and had hit 2.6 million after only 48 hours. DE
