Despite it being released nearly 100 years ago, James Whale and Boris Karloff's iconic-looking Frankenstein's Monster is still seared on the retinas of anyone trying to picture the literary creation.

Luckily, therefore, with Xfinity being part of Comcast NBCUniversal, the IP vault of Universal Pictures is there for the taking, so in the brand's latest spot, ol’ Frank looks as good as he ever has, in surroundings to match.

With agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners and Park Pictures director Lance Acord utilising the special skills of the Universal Parks make-up and prosthetics team – specifically in realising the Monster’s green complexion, square head, neck bolts and heavy boots – alongside a painstakingly rebuilt version of Dr Frankenstein’s medieval lab, modelled on the Dark Universe ride Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, this tribute to a horror staple keeps the icon alive...
