Maceo Plex: Conjure Superstar

The latest promo for Spanish tech house favourite Maceo Plex has caused a bit of commotion since being uploaded to YouTube. The video, shot by Bernhard Pucher via London-based Element26, comes from the view of a smartphone and is set on an eventful night out that sees the device change hands several times before an abrupt ending ensues.

A statement from Plex confirms that the footage was meant to poke a lighthearted jab at the dance scene: "Everyone's a Conjured up Superstar. Is it really about the music anymore?" And the DJ has since backed up the words with the following tweet:
