Imagine supporting your disabled father and two younger siblings by working part-time at your Auntie’s bakery, in between studying for end-of-year exams and applying to the Polytecnic.

It seems almost impossible.

This touching spot created by BBH Asia Pacific was inspired by a true story.

Siew Fan, the spot’s protagonist, almost succeeds in keeping up appearances and maintaining the juggling act.

She lies to her father about her exam results and convinces him that she will not be able to pursue tertiary education and will instead have to find full-time work.

Helmed by James Lee, the spot highlight’s the importance of NTUC Income and its OrangeAid Future Development Programme which provides financial support to low-income families and attempts to reduce the number of children that sacrifice their future to support their family.
