Digital agency Wildlife has teamed with game developer Scopely to launch a new campaign for The Walking Dead Road to Survival mobile game, utilising TV and online technology.

Led by a no-holds-barred animated spot (above), the work is based on the #WoodburyIsWaiting hashtag and a cryptic Instagram account (@WalkingDeadRTS) to engage fans in a choose your own online adventure-style game.

Navigating a network of hundreds of linked accounts on the social platform, fans who made the correct choices discovered a secret phone number with daily calls from a National Emergency hotline. Leveraging advanced phone technology, the phone number even started calling them back, treating them to interactive calls from the iconic Walking Dead character, Lori Grimes.

AreYouPatientZero.com housed daily video updates documenting the spread of the zombie apocalypse around the world and on launch day (27 August) the website redirected fans to download The Walking Dead: Road to Survival mobile game.
