Pamela Anderson has had a fair few cameos over the years - as Baywatch's famed lifeguard CJ Parker, Sacha Baron Cohen's love interest in his Borat mockumentary and Lisa, Tim's Tool-time-girl, on US TV series Home Improvement.

Her most recent project includes starring as a not-too-dissimilar version of herself in Luke Gilford's short film, Connected.

Commenting on the evolution of technology and our dependency of it, the 10-minute-long film looks at our increasingly distorted view of ageing and desire for self improvement.

Featuring other A-listers - Jane Fonda and Dree Hemingway - in his film, Gilford admits that inspiration for the spot came from Anderson herself and his desire to deconstruct the sex symbol status.

Anderson offers an introspective performance and suits the beautifully-shot short, successfully transcending her celebrity fame to challenge our perception of normality, across tech and beauty.
