"
The unique mind of Mark Denton brings us a series of idents that turn the 'i' logo of the i newspaper into a perky puppet.
In this series of i-dents (which neither production company Thomas & Thomas nor agency Atomic is actually calling it, but is too good a pun to pass up,) this 'i' character, operated by two puppeteers from the upcoming young Han Solo movie, makes its way through a series of scenarios ripped from the headlines of today.
These include one on North Korean military might, in which the i gets angry at a malfunctioning rocket strapped to a tiny tank), the rise of drones in which the i gets his tittle (look it up) delivered via one of the devices, and another in which the i's bad rug of ginger hair gets blown up, only to be replaced by a Russian hat, a reference to everyone's least favourite tiny-handed leader of the free world.
The idents will appear before shows on UK TV channel Dave, as part of the i's sponsorship of the channel.
