Julian, George, Dick, Anne and mischievous mutt Timothy are off on yet another adventure - this time courtesy of Great Western Trains.
Enid Blyton's beloved Famous Five are the stars of a new integrated campaign created by adam&eveDDB for the national train company, which launches with this beautiful animated spot directed by Friends Electric's Pete Candeland.
Stitching together traditional and cutting-edge animation techniques, the film translates Eileen Soper's original 1950s book cover illustrations into a contemporary design language. The painstaking process involved physically printing and photographing each frame to bake a 'real' paper texture into the image that would be visible in the final composition.
We think the result is simply spiffing!
