i-D joins next session of The Commissioners
Thursday's rebooted event includes a chance to answer live video briefs.
After a year-long hiatus, The Commissioners returns this Thursday (June 14) with a brand new format involving live briefs.
Taking place at The Castle Cinema, London, the evening will include a panel discussion with i-D's digital director Hanna Hanra and in-house video director Tom Ivin, a screening of i-D’s selected video content and presentation of exclusive video briefs.
The event will focus on understanding the type of video content produced by i-D and the direction they are taking. In addition, the speakers will also share video briefs with the audience providing useful insights into exactly what they are looking for. The attending filmmakers will then be able to prepare tailored treatments following the event for i-D to look over and assess.
The live brief element of The Commissioners is the latest addition to the London-based event, created to give directors the chance to see their content be brought to life. “I’m very much looking forward to seeing the type of content coming out of The Commissioners," says founder Niccolò Montanari. "This is a great opportunity for filmmakers to gain access to exclusive briefs, armed with a deeper understanding of what the commissioners in question are looking for.”
The session will take place from 6-8.30pm, Thursday June 14, at The Castle Cinema, First Floor, 64-66 Brooksby's Walk, London E9 6DA.
Tickets cost £15 (talk only) or £25 (talk and chance to submit a treatment).
