Mancunian popsters The 1975 have enlisted Partizan director Warren Fu to create a second music video to accompany a track from their new album A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships.
Forget Strictly, the dancing in Fu's two videos for The 1975 would have Craig Revel Horwood tearfully dusting off his ‘10’ score card.
While Wu's first promo, for Sincerity is Scary, is set in a sweetly strange urban landscape with a scrumptious pastel colour pallet, this second video is more monochrome – but no less surreal – and takes place mainly on stage with the band.
It features frontman Matty Healy attempting to deliver the song while being beset by various taxing issues, such as his mouth disappearing and his feet catching fire. He also momentarily disappears through a hole in the stage and rematerialises in the first video. Again, Healy and crew deliver some seriously slick moves. Pure joy.
