Director Natalie Rae has signed with bi-coastal production company Epoch Films for commercial representation.

Rae is an award-winning filmmaker originally from Vancouver, Canada. Born into a family of filmmakers, communicating ideas through film has always been her way of life. She has a background which includes producing and writing through to fine arts in music and dance.

Her first music video went to number one in North America, won best Rock Video at MMVAs and led to her nomination for Best Director that year. She directed the first Global PSA for United Nations Women, promoting female leadership and just completed a film for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation about youth activists around the world.

Rae’s work has been celebrated throughout the industry, being featured in the 2016 shots Young Directors Showcase, the 2017 AICP Awards, and the 2017 and 2018 Cannes Young Directors Awards. Her recent work includes a global campaign for Uber and two award winning music videos for Leon Bridges.

“I’ve always admired the beautifully curated artists at Epoch Films,” said Rae. “There is a collective vision and depth behind the whole which stands out in an elegant way. Within minutes of meeting Mindy, Melissa and co, I just wanted to have them over, cook them a meal, and talk for hours! For me that’s a sign of the trust and inspiration that is so important to making great work. I couldn’t be more thrilled to join their team!”

“We’d been following Natalie's career for a while, her work is cinematic and heartfelt,” says Epoch founder Mindy Goldberg. “Our first meeting was a melding of minds and we’re excited about working with her on advertising and long form projects.”

Natalie Rae & Epoch are represented in the west by Dexter Randazzo at The Department of Sales; in the east by Tara Averill & John Robertson at Representation; and in the midwest by Chris Brown at Baer Brown Reps.
