Corta! (in English, Cut!) is the Pact for Anti-Harassment in the Audiovisual Industry, created in 2017 by APRO (the Brazilian Association of Production of Audiovisual Works).
This trio of videos for the initiative take the form of a script, and depict situations of abusive behaviour. “The problem exists, and it’s everyone’s responsibility to prevent that kind of attitude, regardless of gender," says Marianna Souza, APRO CEO and one of the Corta! leaders. "Corta! is an awareness pact against harassment in the audiovisual industry that emphasises the need for a behavioural change that reaches every professional in the industry: women and men can both be victims of harassment."
The three films, Apartment, Hotel [both below], and Set [above] are based on real stories that portray situations of abusive behaviour that took place at parties, official events, and even during a typical workday on a production shoot, and which involved directors, producers, actors, and other people from the audiovisual industry.
