DECON director Steven Caple Jr. has been named among the 2018 class of Forbes’ esteemed ‘30 Under 30’ list in Hollywood & Entertainment, spotlighting the next generation of talent. The 29-year-old Cleveland, Ohio native premiered his feature film debut The Land at Sundance 2016, where it was acquired by IFC. He is now penning an Emmett Till show at HBO, produced by Jay-Z, Will Smith and Aaron Kaplan. His directing credits include forthcoming episodes of Freeform’s “Grown-ish” and a Netflix docuseries.

Bicoastal creative production company DECON reps Caple Jr. for commercials, branded content and music videos. Since he signed with the company in 2016, he has helmed a Google Play Music retrospective video with Nas, titled “The Inspiration Behind Nas: ‘Hip Hop is Dead,’” a spot for Delta out of Wieden+Kennedy New York and the “Dopeman” music video for Machine Gun Kelly off of The Land soundtrack.

Caple Jr. is another creative voice that is bringing his creative vision to the branded space, joining the rising stars in Marketing & Advertising and Media that were also highlighted on the list. His inclusion on the list in the entertainment sector exemplifies the continually growing convergence of advertising and entertainment.
