This touching spot, created by ArtClass and directed by Jamaal Parham and Bashan Aquart, also known as Jams x Bash, commemorates the legacy of Disney’s The Lion King theatre production.
Shot entirely on location in NYC and featuring the current cast of the show, the film tells the story of two mothers who take their daughter to see The Lion King for the first time, through intercuts jumping from 1997 to present day.
Although at first it seems their daughters would rather be elsewhere, the magical theatre show casts its spell over them as they watch in awe of the production with its spectacular set design, enchanting characters and immersive musical storytelling
As the spot closes, we realise the mother from the present day storyline is the daughter from 1997, as they come together as three generations of the same family, showcasing the longevity of the production and the lasting bonds it has forged.
