We've had Jason Watkins succumbing to a wily Kem Cetinay in Poison, Katherine Kelly making prisoners of Pete Wicks and Bobby Noris in G&T, and Richie Campbell facing off against Ferne McCann in The Phone Call.
In this instalment of Uncommon's campaign for ITV Hub, which was, like the previous spots, shot by Tom Hooper through SMUGGLER London, actress Anna Friel features alongside reality TV couple Olivia Attwood and Bradley Dack in The Trap. We open on the stars of Olivia Meets Her Match, Attwood and Dack, walking on set, with Attwood asking, “What is drama anyway? It’s just a load of words and people pretending”. Reality, she surmises, requires “proper talent” and is therefore the superior genre.
Emmy award-winning actor and Marcella star, Anna Friel, is not of the same opinion and lays on a fiendish trap for the reality duo that involves a cute dog and a large skip. "It was so much fun being a part of this film," said Attwood. "I was so lucky to work alongside an Oscar-winning director and one of acting’s finest, Anna Friel... and, of course, Bradley. It is was all a dream come true.”
