Bill Murray is back as time-loop weatherman Phil Connors (a god — not the God) in this fun micro-sequel to 90s smash comedy Groundhog Day.
Performing the seemingly impossible task of securing the notoriously elusive star for the spot, Jeep and agency Highdive Advertising capitalise on the fact that the Big Game and rodent-coaxing day fall on the same date this year to create an authentic and fun-filled ode to the original.
Perfectly recreated by O Positive’s Jim Jenkins, the spot features fan faves like Sonny & Cher's classic I Got You Babe (this time with a Murray singalong), hapless Ned Ryerson, again played by the inimitable Stephen Tobolowsky, still vying for attention, and Punxsutawney Phil getting even more fun out of the day due to this captor's choice of vehicle.
