Jehnny Beth embodies ancient sculptures for a new movement
Creating a new narrative for artistic transgression, We Will Sin Together takes apart the sacredness of renaissance art and remakes it in a new, edgier, sexier image of the artist.

From production company Hingston Studio comes a piece that embodies art at all moments, creating moments of intensity with living sculpture.
It starts with two strange, marmoreal people, living marble statues moving together to replicate renaissance art pieces. We Will Sin Together channels classical sculptures and iconic poses like Cupid and Psyche’s embrace and, in an incredibly powerful shot, the scene of Michael slaying Lucifer. The scenes shift in parts and wholes, focusing on hands and thighs and then pulling out to reveal the full scope of it, the high pop artwork that is both real and very, very fake.
The fascinating motion-capture tech used in We Will Sin Together combines different 3D rendering techniques and animation to create a seamless, strange, and bizarre world in which Jehnny Beth fully embodies these characters. Embracing the plurality of art, directors Tom Hingston and Markus Lehtonen create a fascinating and hypnotic dance between two parts of the same whole that can only complete artworks when they complete each other.
