Directed by Samuel & Gunnar and produced by Tantrum, the film – Where is everyone? – is reminiscent of those early lockdown spots featuring empty spaces that are usually packed with peeps.
It features a variety of scenarios in which the call of the Double Big Mac – only available up to 16 November – has prompted people to desert their posts pronto.
A decorator naffs off leaving his roller brush rolling around, a barber high-tails it rendering his customer high and dry, a lawn is mowed by an unmanned mower and an assembly line eerily malfunctions as nobody is there to assemble things. The ad lands on a newspaper ad of the monster burger with the line: ‘don’t miss it’.
Mark Elwood, executive creative director, Leo Burnett London, commented: “Britain loves a Big Mac, it’s a classic, a customer favourite across the nation. We wanted make sure all the Big Mac lovers out there get the chance to try or enjoy a Double Big Mac again.”
Accompanying the TV ad are radio, social, OOH, oress and digital display elements.
