Created for Netflix Spain, this homage to production celebrates the magic that goes into making film and TV; depicting the wonders of set design, lighting, effects, stunts, talent handling and more.
Titled What's Next, it was directed by Pablo Maestres and produced by Roma, and features an overstretched producer attempting to respond to – in real time – the demands of a viewer flicking between a smorgasboard of drama, thrillers, comedy and reality shows.
“She needs crying music, give me an A minor!” he shouts and a studio orchestra delivers an instant rousing swell of strings.
Referencing all the Netflix Spain productions that will be launched during 2024, it was shot at the Netflix Studios in Madrid, over three days, using nine sets and 36 celebrities.
