Globe-dominating athletes tend to have inspirational stories behind their rise, but few have had to deal with the amount of personal and professional hurdles as South African middle-distance runner Caster Semenya.
In this interesting micro-doc from Nike through Futura, Semenya takes us back to her hometown of Ga-Masehlong, the titular Birthplace of Dreams, describing the elements that led to her eventual Olympic victory, as well as hinting at the questions sex that have dogged her career.
Perfectly captured by Arcade's Lebogang Rasethaba, this informative and well-structured film packs a lot into it's tight runtime.
