Pass and move

Director Nathan Boey of Spy Films in Toronto leads this animated project which sees a red ball passed between 40 different animators.

Forty months in the making, the concept is simplicity itself; "Do a three second animation involving a ball. Pass it on to somebody from another country. They continue the animation."

So, a stop-motion, plasticine ball is flicked towards a variety of styles in a variety of manners. From football keepie-uppies and planetary orbits to squashed tomatoes and struck matches, the two-and-a-half-minute short is a captivating and clever film.
