The  truth is no one ever feels like an adult, it just kind of creeps up on you. 

And nothing feels more ‘adult’ then getting a credit card for the first time, being trusted to spend money before you’ve earned it is about as adult as it gets, targeting adulting in an honest way. Not one that lectures or belittles, but understands that it’s a messy time in your life and that’s totally fine. The goal of this campaign is to create a brand platform that puts Petal in the middle of this messy stage of life.

The campaign was created in-house by Petal, a fin-tech credit card company who collaborated with Imposter to bring the production to life with their talented director, Thomas Ralph

Ralph adds: "Collaborating direct with the Petal team was an absolute joy. We set out to make a playful and contradictory film about ‘adulting' in 2022. That grey area, which I’m probably still navigating, where we evolve from child to grown-up. Where plants are seen as pets. Crusts are known as enemies. Lightbulbs profess as DIY. Plates stack over plates. Other’s passwords become secrets to be stashed. And getting your first credit card, well that’s the defining first step into the official land of the adult."
