Starting with a couple of cute tots (played by real-life siblings Gabriel and Kapri Ladd) engaged in a football game, the innovative ad, created by 72andSunny LA and directed by Peter Berg, through Film47, sees the kids scream with glee when the players burst into their home.
The animated pint-size heroes – comprising current stars and NFL Legends – then set about wreaking havoc as they attempt to continue their game, negotiating various domestic obstacles, including a giant baby on the move.
The ad, titled Bring Down the House, uses brand-new 3D tech developed by Swaybox Studios, that combines real-world puppetry with proprietary compositing technology.
“Emblematic of the exciting and unexpected game of football, our spot brings together the NFL’s past, present, and future through a totally new innovative approach,” said NFL EVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Tim Ellis. “We ended this season with an epic bring-down-the-house celebration, and for the first time ever, we brought 25 NFL Legends and current players to life through never-before-seen immersive 3D technology.”
