The nostalgic question of "What would you say to your younger self" is posed in this delicate and stirring film for Icelandic non-profit SÍBS.
Containing a monologue from well-known Icelandic star Throstur Leo (who, amongst other things, is known as an acclaimed and loved actor, chef and fisherman), What would you say's single-shot technique and exploratory camerawork aid the message of self-discovery and intimacy.
Most impressive of all is director Runar Ingi's extremely subtle use of VFX to augment the action, allowing the dialogue to speak clearly without flashy distractions.
