Slim, Cunningham Together Again

Slim Pictures Re-Signs Director Karen Cunningham
 

Director Karen Cunningham has re-joined Slim Pictures in the US.

She's back! Slim Pictures in L.A. has welcomed Director Karen Cunningham back to its roster after a year-long hiatus from the company. During that time, Cunningham was represented worldwide by Partizan, which ended with the opening of her own shop in the UK, Pop-Up Films. The happy news was announced by Tom Weissferdt, Slim's Executive Producer.

"I only left Slim to explore global representation," says Cunningham, "and when I set up Pop-Up in London, it made sense to return to Slim. I had a great relationship with Tom, and we work well together."

Weissferdt agrees, "We missed Karen, and the entire Slim team is looking forward to working closely with her for many years to come."  Weissferdt and Cunningham have built a solid director/producer relationship over the past five years, first at Caviar and more recently under the Slim banner, where the two worked together on campaigns for such brands as Crayola, Toys R Us and Danon.

Cunningham started directing in 2007. In her first 18 months behind the camera, she collected several industry awards, including: BTAA Silver, Best New Director at Kinsale, and YDA/Shots in Cannes. She was also featured on the cover of Shots Magazine.
