Creating landscapes out of textures and planets out of product design, Journey Into Sound is a cinematic reveal that is full of detail.
Comets fly by as a woman descends into space, turning over and over towards a nebula. Her spaceship is a pair of Apple’s newest headphones, and the ad subtly reveals the product specs while drawing us deeper into the vastness of space and sound. Especially fun is the transition from couch to space, grounded in the curve of a moon...or wait, the headphones.
Journey Into Sound, directed by Vania and Muggia, is an immersive and surreal film scored to the track Polarizer by Cid Rim. The piece makes use of clever lighting and VFX, making an ad that is both soft, bright, only interrupted by a character break that tells the whole story of the ad in a single slammed-shut window.
