Uber Eats delivers to everyone, even that Guy
Honestly, if you’ve never seen Guy Fieri play the pan flute, but have always wanted to, Soiree might be your new favorite film.

Taking cues from documentaries and longer content spots, Soiree creates comedy out of celebrity appearances, giving noted internet meme inspiration, Guy Fieri, a chance to poke fun at himself.
As an Uber Eats “Man of Delivery” drives through the city, he addresses the camera next to him, saying that he delivers to “all kinds of people.” We see him go up to a fancy hotel and drop off food for Fieri, who is interrupted in the middle of a pan flute performance. He thanks the driver and then turns back to his pan flute circle and continues to play.
If this sounds wild, it’s because it absolutely is. It’s ironic and self-aware, and Anomaly has devised a clever twist on an old formula. Soiree is really bizarre, but it works, because it’s inoffensive and funny, a marked departure from the image of Fieri most people are exposed to. Director Andreas Nillson balances absurd and understandable, creating something weird and memorable.
