Continuing Virgin Media’s ‘To Better and Beyond’ platform, Walrus Whizzer was created by VCCP’s content creation studio Girl&Bear and follows on from the award-winning campaigns Highland Rider and Goat Glider.
Produced by Biscuit, it was helmed by Andreas Nilsson with his typical flare for the wonky side of life as it follows the progress of a walrus, who, much to the amazement of bewildered locals pops up in a fishing harbour and flollops in an ungainly fashion on to a speedboat.
Once he hits the controls however, the uncannily realistic creature – who was crafted by Untold Studios – cruises off with ease and panache while envious fellow walruses look on.
Set to the soundtrack of Billy Ocean’s Suddenly, the spot aims to capture the unstoppable feeling of using super smooth broadband.
