WWF’s grass is greener

Created by Ketchum London and directed by Tom Brown through UNIT9, the Hollywood trailer-style hero film, Watching Grass Grow introduces us to the slimy superhero that is seagrass!

This underrated plant species can capture carbon up to 35 times faster than tropical rainforests. But it is under threat. 

The UK has lost up to 92 per cent of seagrass meadows over the past 100 years.

Indy Selvarajah, CCO at Ketchum commented: “Every creative’s dream is to work with WWF. They are a genuine force for good ensuring people and nature can help thrive together. We knew this was an opportunity to do something really entertaining and fun whilst delivering a timely message.”

The advert is part of WWF’s Force for Nature campaign, which raises awareness of the power of the UK’s natural habitats in the fight against climate change and is planting seagrass seeds around the coast of southern England.
