The second instalment of Vicks’ #TouchOfCare campaign (last year's focused on the story of a transgender mother), this is inspired by another true story, that of Nisha, a young Indian girl with a rare genetic skin condition. The touching campaign film was created by Publicis Singapore and sensitively directed by Anand Gandhi, through Offroad Films.
It follows Nisha’s early years as an abandoned orphan suffering from the disfiguring skin condition ichthyosis and reveals how the love and care provided by her adoptive parents turned her blighted life around.
Vicks message that every child deserves a #TouchOfCare is illustrated by data on the abysmal levels of adoption of children with special needs. According to a report by Unicef, there are 29.6 million orphans in India, however, in the past year only 42 children with disabilities found a home.,
