'There's no-one on the road right now"; "I've got mints"; "It's a straight shot home" are some of the all-too-common excuses for drink-driving. But, as this clever campaign from Uber and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) cautions, they're rarely good reasons for getting behind the wheel.
In the 60-second spot, created in-house and produced by Tool of North America, director Phillip Montgomery contrasts scenes of inebriated folk giving a reason for driving with the same line overheard on a bus, a train or in an Uber, neatly flipping the excuse on its head.
