Having a tiresome Tuesday? Did Blue Monday leave you slumped in a dark room rocking back and forth under a blanket? Well Lordy, Lordy, this’ll lift your spirits and get you up and at it. Hell yeah, it’s all running, drumming and preaching in this zesty promo directed by Fanny Hoetzeneder, produced by Knucklehead London.
Inspired by the energy and gospel roots of Adelphi Music Factory's catchy track Javelin (Calling out your name), the video portrays a young drummer running late – literally – every Sunday to his choir band rehearsals. As the scenario repeats, the scenes layer upon each other as the music swells into a festival of rhythm and rushing about. Pure joy.
Shot on location in Sheffield over one weekend, the film features a real-life local father and son in the roles of the Reverend and Drummer, along with others from Cemetery Road Baptist Church, the New Testament Church and Sheffield’s Community Choir.
