Created by TBWA, this touching festive spot for the Dutch State Lottery shares the message while winning big money might help, it's love and togetherness that brings true happiness.
Directed by Ismael ten Heuvel through pinkrabbit, the spot sees a man checking on his elderly neighbour and taking her dog for a walk, when his own dog eats her New Year's Eve lottery ticket. After a frantic, secretive scramble to replace the lost ticket, his neighbour ends up gifting it to him as a thank you for his kindness.
In a heartwarming twist, we learn that the prize isn't a winning ticket, but the care and thoughtfulness exchanged between new friends. The spot is perfectly paired by an emotive, narrative-driven track created especially for the commercial by Irish singer-songwriter Gavin James.
