Ads for betting brands often tend to go for humour – possibly to emphasise that gambling is largely just a spot of fun, deflecting from any unfortunate associations it can have with ruinous addiction or bankruptcy.
You can trust the French, however to find a way to make placing bets seem achingly cool.
Rosapark has created a two slick, visually arresting new films, one online and one in-store for French sports betting outfit ParionsSport, directed by Daisy Zhou through Boogie Nights, with music specially remixed by Else and rapper A2H.
The films make bettors look better by celebrating them as passionate, cool-headed experts, adept at planning and predicting, who are having fun, but in a typically Gallic stylish way. There is also a 'Making Of' version.
