Created entirely in-camera with 2d stop-motion techniques, this mesmerising animation for the ODD (Office of Development & Design) takes us on a captivating, dimension-bending visual journey.
The film, titled Geometrip, was created by ODD’s Emmy-winning designer and creative director Ignacio Osorio, utilising traditional tools—paper, pencil, compass, knife, and a camera, to create over 250 thoughtfully designed frames. It was animated at 12fps to amplify the hand-made charm, with finishing touches brought to life digitally in Cinema 4D.
“I wanted to embrace a completely organic process,” Osorio explains. “I chose to step away from the digital screen to highlight the beauty and texture of handmade design.”
