Posten, The Norwegian Postal Service, has invited viewers to witness Santa’s darker and more vulnerable side in this campaign to make Christmas great again.
Created by POL and directed by Matias & Mathias through Bacon Olso, the spot sees St Nick complaining that his livelihood is being compromised by the efficiency of Posten, which works around the clock, all year round to deliver packages and mail to hopeful people across the country (unlike Santa's paltry one-night-per-year gig).
“Last year we started a new tradition at Posten, looking into Christmas institutions and folklore from other quirkier angles," said Monica Solberg, Marketing Director at Posten."Posten’s take on the Christmas Gospel created so much attention around the globe that we wanted to follow up in a similar fashion. This year we have dug into Santa’s unknown life. We love Santa Claus and Christmas. Apparently, he doesn´t love us back”,.
