This suspenseful short film, created by Grey for child protection organisation Save the Children, portrays the instability and fear that Mexican children experience as a result of gun-related crime.

The film, helmed by Oriental Films director Charly Gutierrez, follows Mexican girls and boys going about their daily lives whilst an ominous-looking storm brews in the sky above.

When the rain starts to fall, we quickly realise it is not made of water, but bullets. The terrified children run for safety, but some don't make it, metaphorically illustrating the life-threatening impact of gun violence on the 2,600 children who were caught in the crossfire in 2022.

The initiative makes an urgent call to all sectors of society to assume a collective responsibility to generate free of violence spaces, where young people can feel safe and develop their potential.
