Is your idea of a top travel destination your own comfort zone? If not, you might want to follow the advice in this spot for Flight Centre Canada and keep it real by going somewhere more exciting for your break.
The brilliantly crafted film Be Unbordered, was created by Canadian agency Cossette and directed through Partners Film Toronto by Joachim Back who won an Oscar in 2010 for his satiric short The New Tenants.
It depicts a couple entering an unnerving pastel-coloured world peopled by glassy-eyed AI-bot-style holiday facilitators and mildly anaesthetised fellow tourists. Think a Wes Anderson take on The Truman Show with added Stepford wives.
When the couple realise this is all just seven shades of weird, their spirit of adventure propels them to literally break though the manufactured holiday-verse’s reality wall into a parallel existence of genuine holiday larks. Nicely done.
