What with the imagery of snowy wonderlands and the festive outfit of choice being a tidy scarf and hat, it's easy for us Northern Hemisphere folk to forget that the yuletide period is an entirely different proposition down South.
Indeed, as the backyard of the thoughtful protagonist in the latest installment of Australia Post's Spread The Merry Christmas campaign clearly shows, just because a space isn't blanketed in the white stuff, it doesn't mean it can't be decorated.
Created by The Monkeys and directed by Glendyn Ivin, the film tells the story of spirited young girl Audrey and her attempts to cheer up Major, a naughty cockatoo.
Sweet and sincere, with a squakingly good performance from the central warbler, this is maybe the warmest heartwarmer we've seen so far.
