Arson for fun and profit
This richly textured artbook film, with its strange, surreal sense of finality, is an appreciation for the bizarre.

When you set something on fire, make sure to follow a few guidelines, including posing for a selfie with the ashes.
When a car breaks down in the mud beside an overpass, the family determines that the obvious response to the inconvenience is to just set the car on fire. As they decide to go through with it, the adults take queues from the artbook Pyromaniac’s Manual in order to set their vehicle on fire safely, and with a little bit of style.
Directed by Denis Parchow and produced by Alpha DT, the piece has a fantastic filmic texture, with compelling colors and strange exaggerations. It’s almost a fashion film, and alongside the technical skills to create an on-fire vehicle, Manual ends up feeling richly layered and intriguing.
