The wonderful thing about the world of ads is that anything can happen.
Chimps can be piano removal men, people can get Tango’d by orange tubsters and motors can slip their moorings on car transporters and indulge in a bit of nocturnal off-roading.
This witty spot, directed by award-winning director Marcus Soderlund out of Academy, laments the fate of the Audi Q range of SUVs, which end up being tasked with mundane jobs when they yearn to romp around new terrain and get a bit of mud on their fenders.
Titled Give Them an Inch and They’ll Take a Mile, the film opens on a tranquil scene in the woods of Slovenia. The driver of a car transporter sleeps soundly as a few of his SUV models manage to silently roll off and lark about in the woodlands, returning just before he awakes.
The film’s soundtrack is a cover of the classic I Could Have Danced All Night (published by Warner Chappell Music Publishing; composed by Lerner/Loewe) by Faultline feat. JAKL.
